Wyoming GOP Censures Rep. Liz Cheney

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) has been at the forefront of the Republican voices pushing for a Trump impeachment.

Cheney does not and has never liked Trump, so this was not exactly a surprise.

However, her constituents and fellow Wyoming Republicans think she stepped over a line, and now they are holding her accountable for her actions.

Jumping the Gun

The biggest problem for any Republican in the House that voted to impeach Trump is that they bought into a bogus Democrat narrative.

There was no evidence presented, just a rush to judgment by Pelosi, the Democrat party, and a few anti-Trump Republicans.

This impeachment is a personal vendetta because some people don’t like Trump’s personality or the fact that he dared to challenge the election results.

Cheney was one of almost a dozen Republicans in the House that voted in favor of impeaching Trump, and now it could spell the end of her political career.

The Wyoming GOP has slapped her with a censure, and the vote was not even close.

The Republican Committee in Wyoming voted 45-0 to issue Cheney’s censure…

The resolution, in part, states, “Representative Cheney has violated the trust of her voters, failed to faithfully represent a very large majority of motivated Wyoming voters, and neglected her duty to represent the party and the will of the people who elected her to represent them.”

The Wyoming GOP added, “By announcing her decision to vote for impeachment Representative Cheney denied President Trump due process; she judged the ‘evidence’ before it was presented and refused to listen to the arguments made.”

Cheney is far from being alone in terms of having problems with her constituents for voting for the impeachment.

Rep. Jamie Herrera Beutler (R-WA) is also getting flack for her decision to vote for impeachment.

Clark County Republican Women issued a letter against Herrera Beutler stating, “If you cast this vote to impeach, you will never receive our support or votes again at any time in the future.

“Additionally, we will do everything in our power as the largest Republican Women’s organization in Washington State to recruit and elect a conservative candidate who will represent our values.”

Identify them all, primary against them, and let’s remove every one of them from office come 2022.

It’s time to reshape this party to finally work for We the People, not serve these RINOs own purposes.
